On a morning in August 2006, Myriam Fefer was murdered inside her family home in Lima, Peru. Her son Ariel was seventeen years old. The case became one of the most controversial in recent Peruvian history — covered widely in the press, entangled in courtroom battles, and shadowed by competing narratives about who was truly responsible.

The man who carried out the killing was eventually caught and imprisoned. But the most important question has never been fully answered: who hired him, and why?

For years, Ariel fought for answers — including securing the killer's extradition to Peru before he could escape. Eventually, he stepped away to rebuild his life. The questions never left him.

Now, nearly twenty years later, Ariel Fefer is going back. Who Killed My Mother: The Fefer Case is his active investigation — re-examining the original evidence, the legal proceedings, and the people connected to his mother's life. It is both a personal reckoning and a serious pursuit of a truth that has remained hidden for two decades.

The podcast launches August 2026 and is produced bilingually in English and Spanish.
